The goal of the Birgit M. Klohs Fellowship is to increase women and minority participation in the economic development profession. The monies can be utilized for training, continuing education, and professional development to build each recipient’s skills and career in economic development. Candidates for the Fellowship are generally early-career economic development professionals. MEDA’s Emerging Leaders Committee helps facilitate the award process.
